Without an account

The game works without an account. Settings and local records stay in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to the server. The server only receives regular page requests.

Logging in with Telegram

When you log in, Telegram sends us your numeric id, name, username and avatar link. We don't get your phone number, contacts or messages. We need this data to show you on the leaderboards and save your games. The session is kept in the sapero_session cookie for up to 90 days.

What we store

Your profile (Telegram id, name, username, avatar), sessions, played games with their move logs and results, records and profile settings.

Deletion

Your profile has a “Delete account” button: it removes your profile, sessions and all games immediately and permanently. Database backups are kept for 14 days, after which the data is gone from them too.

Analytics and cookies

Besides the session cookie, there are two optional ones: lang remembers the language you picked, and sapero_ng remembers the no-guessing toggle. We run our own analytics: we count visits and look at how pages are used; the data stays on our server and isn't shared with third parties. There are no advertising trackers. If this changes, we'll update this policy and the date at the top.
